KUNTAO: Apache Wilderness Survival Valley Forge Park, PA

Saturday July 14, 2012 KUNTAO Martial Arts Club hosted a seminar “HOW TO SURVIVE EMERGENCIES” with survival expert Mark Ward.
The class covered Apache “primitive survival” skills and improvised survival actions. The special class included a hike in Valley Forge Park, Pennsylvania.
MARK WARD Bio:
Mark’s undergraduate degree in Russian and Classical Civilizations was earned at Trinity College, Dublin, IRELAND.
In 1988 Mark received a Master’s degree in International Relations from Webster University, Vienna, AUSTRIA.
Mark has been a student of both martial arts and wilderness survival skills for over twenty years.
Mark attained the rank of 3rd Dan in Tang Soo Do through the United Martial Arts federation under Young H. Kwon, and was Head Instructor in Korean Martial Arts and partner in The Centre for Martial Arts Health and Fitness in Upper Darby, PA.
He also holds a 1st level Black sash in KUNTAO Kali, under Mataw-Guro Sifu Dale Yeager, and was authorized to teach Hsiung Style Tai Chi Chuan, and assisted his teacher Master Chiang Hen-Ping in that role.
Mark is a member of the International Society of Professional Trackers.
NATIONAL SURVIVAL EXPERT TO HOLD FREE SEMINAR IN PHOENIXVILLE
On Saturday July 14, 2012 [11 am – 1 pm], KUNTAO & Franklin Commons will host a FREE seminar for families entitled “HOW TO SURVIVE EMERGENCIES” with survival expert Mark Ward.
The class will cover Native American “primitive survival” skills and improvised actions. An educational hike in Valley Forge Park makes up the second part of the seminar.
“I am excited to teach this class. Families need to know how to survive accidents, and other emergency situations.” says Ward.

Seminar held at KUNTAO with Mataw Guro Lou Lledo
On Saturday July 7, 2012 a special seminar was held at KUNTAO Martial Arts Club by Punong Mataw Guro Lou Lledo.
Guro Lou is the CEO of the Mataw Guro Association and a world class Master in Amara Arkanis
Guro Lou has a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology, Laboratory Medicine Graduate and a Master’s Degree in Sports Science Physical Education.
He was a Captain in the Philippine Air Force; Reserve Command was former Defensive Tactics, Combative Arts Head Instructor of the HQ Integrated National Police Training Command, National Capital, Regional Training Center at Fort Bonifacio, Metro Manila.
He later transferred to the National Bureau of Investigation Training Academy (Philippine Counterpart of the FBI). He also trained the officers and personnel of the 1st Air Division and the 304th Security Squadron of the Philippine Air Force.
When he was assigned as OIC of the Intelligence and Investigation section of the Office of the Mayor, City of Manila he trained the Civil Intelligence and Security Unit of the City in the combative arts.
